I am writing to recommend Don Ciccolella for tutoring services. We have
had Don 's help with our two older sons in their High School math classes
and he was invaluable. The boys were very comfortable with Don as he
was very patient and calm while working with them. Brian and Kevin were
able to relax and connect with class work that had been a struggle. Extra
help from the school seemed only to confuse the situation, but the time
spent in tutoring, without distraction, allowed Don to make sense of
differing styles and techniques the boys were receiving. lfeel we avoided
some very difficult if not disastrous problems with Don's assistance.

Mr. Cicolella is a great tutor. He tutored me for both pre-calculus and physics for 1 year. I had no interest in either subject, and Mr. C motivated me to get the work done and try my hardest. He was very patient with me and he would always offer to go over anything I didn't understand as many times as necessary. Not only did he care if we finished my homework, but he genuinely cared how I did in the classroom as well. I would highly recommend Mr. C as a tutor to anybody needing extra help outside of the classroom. He is extremely qualified for the job and you will see an improvement in your grades shortly!

My daughter will be a senion in September, at Pope John H.S. Math was a big challenge for her through the years. We were fortunate to have found Mr. Ciccolella, who came highly recommended by another faculty member.
Mr. Ciccolella tutored Amber for each of her various Math courses. he was wonderful! Always willing to accomodate by adding sessions prior to a test, working during the summer, rearranging our schedule for various reasons. he was extremely conscientious and caring.
As a result of his hard work and patience, Amber survived her most challenging subject and ended up with grades I never thought she could achieve! He is a wonderful tutor and I highly recommend him!

Don Ciccolella tutored our High School junior in math for the SAT last spring. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results! After only 10 sessions she added 70 points to her previous math score. The added points most certainly contributed to her being accepted to her top three schools. I just want to take a moment to let you know how thrilled we are that Monica passed her Chemistry class. As you may recall she had failed her 3rd marking period, and her 1st and 2nd marking period grades were only a D-.
At the time we contacted you it seemed that it would take pretty much a miracle in order to achieve the grade Monica needed to pass this class. With only 6 weeks left to the school year, Mrs. Catherine Astor with her patience, motivation and teaching style made it possible for Monica to not only comprehend this difficult subject, but also gave her the confidence she needed to succeed.

Hello my name is Ralph J. Young. I am a graduate of Pope John XXIII High School. During my senior year, I had trouble with my Physics course. I was struggling with my studies and was almost in danger of failing.
I was embarrassed about not understanding the content like the rest of my peers and could not comprehend the information that my teacher was teaching me.
Fortunately, Mr. Ciccolella who was an educator of Pope John at the time was a professional tutor. He gave me individual attention on the subject and clarified concepts that I could not understand. He also worked with my teacher to better understand what her exams and quizzes would be like so that he can provide me with similar practice questions that helped me gain self confidence in my abilities to successfully master the subject.
He was also flexible with my schedule and would even travel to my own house for tutoring. His services have significantly improved my grades. I am very pleased with the results I have obtained by working with him and highly recommend him to anyone who needs tutoring. He is an effective instructor that genuinely cares about his pupils’ successes.

I would like to thank Academic Care for all of the great help provided to Kurtis last year for Geometry and English in his sophomore year of High School.. Kurtis was having issues in both subjects and Academic Care provided the help to improve his performance and confidence in both areas. Kurtis was struggling in the 1st semester and since getting help his grades improved by more than 1 full grade in both subjects.
This year going into his Junior year of High School Kurtis felt confident, which I felt was largely due to the Academic Care Learning's. He felt he did not need any additional help so we decided we would let him try it on his own. Well, Kurtis has continued to do very well this year. He has pulled all A's & B's for Algebra II and English. His grade point average for this year is well over a 3.0 which is the highest he has ever had. I believe the help that Academic Care provided has gone a long way in helping Kurtis in his studies. The Academic Care help not only provided immediate help in each subject but taught him study skills that he could use in years to come and for all subjects.

I just wanted to take a second to say THANK YOU! Tommy is adjusting so well to Pope John, we are thrilled. Sal & I really feel that you had a lot to do with preparing he and supporting him. He joined the Robotics Team and is even talking to his boss about the Saturdays he needs off for competition, with no regret. He’s been so busy he hasn’t thought much about Hobby Town and she has been good about not calling him for every little thing. Tina was a great help to him in week one, and now he seems to be doing pretty well on his own. I got a text message from him the other day when he got off the bus and it read “ I just got off the bus what a good day school is great!!!” I will save this text message forever.
